I went to Princeton for college, Georgetown University for medical school, and stayed at Medstar Georgetown Hospital for my pediatric residency. I’m now a board-certified pediatrician and an American Academy of Pediatrics Fellow.
After I graduated from my pediatric residency program, I worked in an outpatient clinic at Medstar Georgetown Hospital, providing comprehensive care to kids with complex medical issues. I also led their Intern Support Group for several years, using my background in mindfulness to provide mental health resources to first year residents. I have now turned my full attention to PediaWise in an effort to connect with a larger community and to help as many people navigate the ups & downs of pregnancy and raising children as possible.
I had a difficult & complicated start to my first pregnancy. Instead of “glowing,” I was puking into a trash can and reading everything I could on the Internet, looking for guidance & reassurance. Unfortunately, I wound up with a lot more questions and anxiety than I started with. The information was confusing, conflicting, and often unreliable.
So Why Didn’t You Just Talk To Your Doctor? Even though my OB/GYN was great, it was early on in my pregnancy and there wasn’t much she could do except wait and see if my pregnancy “stuck.” Plus, I didn’t want to “bother” her with too many questions. To make matters worse, I was in medical school and felt like I should “know things” and should be reading medical journals instead of getting my info about pregnancy from non-medical websites and chat rooms.
Now with two kids, a medical degree, and several years of experience seeing patients under my belt, it’s my mission to use my personal & professional experiences to help people find more support, ease, and joy on their own pregnancy & parenting journeys.

Our PediaGuides include everything you need to know to feel informed and empowered during pregnancy and the early years of parenting.
